Abstract
This Decree-Law approves EC Commission Directive No. 97/46 regulating the importation and circulation of harmful organisms, plants and plant products. It consist of 4 articles and 3 Annexes establishing the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform the aforementioned activity, such as: permit for the importation and circulation of plants, harmful organisms, plant products or other material for scientific purposes (e.g. selection of plant varieties), within EU territory or EU protected zones. It also contains a model import permit application form (annexes I, II and III specify the objects of scientific activities, quarantine measures, a copy of the aforesaid model application form and a list of plant diseases for laboratory analysis).
