Order No. 142/2020 establishing additional phytosanitary protection measures for the eradication in the national territory of the quarantine insect Trioza erytreae Del Guercio.

This Order, consisting of 11 articles, establishes additional phytosanitary protection measures for the eradication in the national territory of the quarantine insect Trioza erytreae Del Guercio. The Order specifies that any owner, user or tenant of host plants, and any professional operator that produces or markets host plant material and who has knowledge of or suspects the presence of the insect vector Trioza erytreae Del Guercio, must immediately inform the phytosanitary inspection services of the respective Directorate Regional Agriculture and Fisheries (DRAP) or the Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary (DGAV). The DRAPs, under the coordination of the DGAV, carry out an annual national survey, which must include phytosanitary protection measures, such as field inspections, placement of traps for the capture of Trioza erytreae Del Guercio and sample collection, when applicable, giving priority to the following locations: a) Production sites for plants intended for planting, host plants and their surrounding areas; b) Host vegetable orchards; c) Gardens, parks and public areas where there are host vegetables. The definitions contained in Regulation (EU) 2016/2031, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 26 October 2016 are adopted.
