Abstract
The Order establishes the legal regime for Seine trawling-net, defined in article 19 of Decree-Law No. 73/2020 of 23 September, including a system participated in the management and monitoring of Seine fishing (Xávega). This fishing gear can only be carried out using purse-seine (FAO Code SB 02.1). The Purse-seine can only operate in the area of jurisdiction of the Port Captaincy of reference for the respective vessel, and can also operate in the area of neighboring captaincies where this fishing is traditionally carried out, provided that it has prior authorization from the respective maritime authority.
