Regional Decree No. 21/93 approving Decree-Law No. 19/93 (defining protected areas).

This Regional Decree approves Decree-Law 19/93 establishing protected areas in order to manage wildlife communities. It consists of 13 articles specifying requirements and purposes to be satisfied by protected areas. It establishes composition, duties and competencies of regional administrations, different types and classifications of protected areas, controls and sanctions to be applied for offenders, as well as public and private protected areas requirements, etc.
