Cabinet Decision No. 43 of 2017 establishing the Permanent Committee for farms and organizing farmers' affairs.

This Resolution consisting of 9 articles aims at establishing at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment a Permanent Committee for Farms and Farmers Affairs chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment for Agriculture and Fisheries Affairs. Main tasks of the Committee are (i) consider requests for new farms registration, division or transfer of farm holdings and agricultural lands, increasing of agricultural areas, and leasing of additional areas for farms; (ii) lay down the general principles that must be followed; (iii) establish fees related on all transactions related to the requests submitted to the Committee; (iv) study the necessary measures to protect the agricultural land and livestock and achieve the optimum utilization of the natural resources; (v) develop the plant and animal sectors in registered farms; (vi) study general policies for the advancement of the plant and animal sectors, to achieve sustainable development; (vii) propose mechanisms for disseminating modern agricultural technology in the plant and animal sectors; and (viii) study marketing problems for agricultural and animal products and propose appropriate solutions to them.
