Law No. 25 of 2010 promulgating the Law (Regulation) concerning Seeds, Seed Tubers and Seedlings in the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

This Laws, consisting of 9 articles, aims at promulgating the handling of seeds, seed tubers and seedlings of GCC in Qatar. The competent authority in Qatar for implementing the Law is the Agriculture Affairs Department of the Ministry of Environment.
It is responsible for: inspections in the places concerned for the propagation, production or handling of seeds or seedlings; review of the records and documents relating to the propagation, production or handling of seeds and seedlings; taking samples of seeds or seedlings and to verify their compliance with the required standards; and control on materials suspected of non-compliance with the standards, requirements and specifications.
