Law No.20 of 2015 amending some provisions of Law No.26 of 2008 on the rationalization of electricity and water consumption.

This Law consisting of two articles aims at adopting further measures to reduce per capita water and electricity consumption in Qatar. Article 3.2 of the new Law mandates buildings and factories to install special automatic switches for external lights. These switches should meet the specifications to be set by the decision of the Chairman of Kahraama (Qatar General Electricity and Water). According to the amended Article 7, the Kahramaa Chairman has the right to reach reconciliation on offences mentioned in the Law. Reconciliation should be reached against paying half of the maximum fine.
