Abstract
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests, Waters and Environment is a specialized body of the central public administration, subordinate to the Government, with legal personality, which takes over the activity of the Ministry of Water and Environmental Protection. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests, Water and the Environment applies the Government's strategy and program, in order to promote policies in the fields of: agriculture, fishfarming, food industry, rural development, veterinary health, forests, water and environmental protection. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests, Waters and Environment is the central authority that ensures the sustainable development of agriculture, the food industry, forestry, the national forest fund, its management and rational exploitation, as well as the forest vegetation outside it and has the role of using the financial mechanisms for the stimulation and valorization of production in accordance with the requirements of the market economy. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Water and Environment carries out the policy in the fields of water and environmental protection, at the national level, elaborates the strategy and the specific regulations for the development and harmonization of these activities with the framework of the Government's general policy, ensures and coordinates the application of the Government's strategy in the respective fields, fulfilling the role of state authority, of synthesis, coordination and control in these fields.
