Abstract
The Government is the public authority of the executive power, which functions on the basis of the vote of confidence granted by the Parliament and which ensures the implementation of the country's internal and external policy and exercises the general management of the public administration. The Government has the role of ensuring the balanced functioning and development of the national economic and social system, as well as its connection to the world economic system under the conditions of promoting national interests. The Government exercises the following functions: (a) the strategy function, which ensures the development of the strategy for the implementation of the Government Program (b) the regulatory function, which ensures the development of the normative and institutional framework necessary to achieve the strategic objectives; (c) the state property administration function, which ensures the administration of public and private property, as well as the management of services for which the state is responsible; (d) the function of representation, which ensures, on behalf of the Romanian state, internal and external representation; and (e) the function of state authority, which ensures the follow-up and control of the application and compliance with regulations in the field of defense, public order and national security, as well as in the economic and social fields and the functioning of institutions and bodies that carry out their activity under the authority of the Government.
