Law No. 139/2010 concerning the modification and completion of Law No. 220/2008 for establishing the system to promote the production of energy from renewable energy sources.

This Law amends Law No. 220/2008 for establishing the system to promote the production of energy from renewable energy sources.
Amendments include: the insertion in article 2 of new definitions and the modification of existing ones; the modification of articles 3 and 4 on the promotion system of electricity produced from renewable energy sources; the insertion of a new article 4a regarding final gross energy consumption from renewable sources; modification of article 5-11 on the issuing of green certificates and on their trade value on the markets; revocation of Chapter V; modification of article 13 on duties of the designated Ministry; modification of article 14 and 15 on the trade of electricity produced from renewable energy sources; revocation of article 16; insertion of a new Chapter VII1 on joint projects; modifications to article 17 and the addition of new article 171-173 on monitoring the development and the operation of the green certificates market; revocation of Chapter IX and insertion of a new Chapter on origin guarantees for electricity, heating and cooling produced from renewable sources of energy; modification of articles 20, 22 and 23, insertion of a new article 24 and revocation of article 21 and of the Annex.
