Abstract
This Regulation provides for the compensation price list used for determining the amount of compensation for damage caused by illegal activity as regards the individual specimens of strictly protected and protected wild species.
The amount of compensation for damage caused by the killing of individual specimens of strictly protected wild species is determined by order, family and species for strictly protected wild species as specified in Annex 1; and for protected wild species in Annex 2. The amount of compensation for damage caused by other illicit acts in relation to strictly protected and protected animal species such as injury, dispersal, persecution, capture, keeping harassment, especially during breeding, rearing, migration and hibernation) shall be not less than 20% and not more than 80% of the amount here determined for each individual animal, and it takes account the type of action, the degree of damage and the importance of each protected animal species. If the damage has prevented the animal from further independent survival in nature, as well as if the damage was caused by destruction or damage to developmental forms (eggs, larvae, young) and their nests, litters or habitats, the amount of compensation will be fully requested.
