Abstract
This Law provides complete measures and standards for sustainable nature protection, and for biological, geological and geographical diversity, as part of the environment.
This Law aims at: a) protecting, preserving and improving biological (genetic, species and ecosystems), geological and geographical diversity; b) setting mankind activities; and preparing economic and social development plans, programmes, bases and projects for the sustainable use of renewable and non-renewable natural resources and for the long-term preservation of natural ecosystems; c) managing or using in a sustainable way natural resources and goods; d) stopping any mankind activities that can harm the ecosystem balance and diversity; e) monitoring; f) improving problematic areas.
This Law lays down provisions regarding the protection and authorization for international trade of specimens, parts and derivatives of wild species under the scope of CITES.
Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
