Regulation on detailed conditions that must be met by professional organization that issues seed labels.

This Regulation prescribes detailed conditions that must be met by all professional organizations engaged in the process of issuance of plant seed packaging labels, including specific rules regarding the size of individual packages of seeds depending on the type of related agricultural plants, as well as the content, form and manner of keeping records on such issued labels.
The professional organization that issues plant seed labels must meet the requirements in terms of professional staff, space, devices and equipment. The professional organization shall meet the requirements in terms of professional staff if there is at least one employed graduate engineer of agricultural profession (field of agriculture, vegetables or plant protection); and shall meet the requirements in terms of space, devices and equipment if it has: 1) space for label storage; 2) space for control sowing of samples; 3) cold chamber for storing seed samples; 4) equipment for printing labels, which according to its capacity can timely print the required number of labels. The actual size of individual small packages of plant seeds, depending on the type of agricultural plants, is given in Annex 1, which is part of this publication; details on labels are given in Annexes 2 and 3.
