Regulation on food with altered nutritional composition.

This Regulation prescribes the requirements that food with an altered nutritional composition must meet when placed on the market (food for people intolerant to gluten, salt substitutes for human consumption, food enriched with vitamins, minerals and other substances with a nutritional or physiological effect, etc.), for the purpose of protecting consumer health, properly informing consumers and ensuring the free movement of goods.
This text also contains a set of technical sheets in the Annex (Annex 1-Statements on the absence or reduced presence of gluten in foods that are permitted and the conditions for this; Annex 2-List of permitted substances that can be used as a substitute for salt for human consumption; Annex 3-Vitamins and minerals that may be added to foods; Annex 4-Chemical forms of vitamins and minerals that may be added to foods; Annex 5- Substances whose use in foods is prohibited, restricted or under supervision; Annex 6-Form for submitting a notification to the Ministry of Health about foods to which vitamins and/or minerals have been added, or about foods containing substances whose use in foods is restricted or under supervision.
