Abstract
This Regulation sets the manner for domestic animal sperm marking, the manner of keeping records on the production of domestic animal sperm, as well as the conditions that must be met by such genetic material in terms of quality. These provisions do not apply to the semen of poultry, fur animals, rabbits and bees.
Articles 5-8 are listing detailed quality requirements for the sperm of bulls, boars, stallions, ram and goats. However, these minimum requirements may deviate from the prescribed values when such sperm or seed is used for experimental purposes or the introduction of new insemination techniques (article 9).
