Abstract
This Regulation states the following: Part of the area of northern Banat, consisting of three mutually separated localities Jaroš, Kočovat and Siget, is declared as protected area of exceptional importance, classified in (I) category as a special nature reserve called " Great Droplja Pastures " (Pasnjaci Velike Droplje). This special nature reserve is placed under protection in order to preserve the unique primordial mosaic of steppe, slatina and wetland habitats and the only remaining population of the Great Bustard (Otis tarda) in the Republic of Serbia. In this area over 20 different fragile types of plant communities have been identified, representatives of rare and endangered flora (Trinia ramosissima - thigh, Silene viscosa - sticky shooter, Beckmannia eruciformis - proha, Peucedanum officinale - devesilje, Plantagova schwazenber, Plantago schwazenber Buckthorn, Centaurea sadleriana - Sadler's variety and Scilla autumnalis - Late hyacinth) and fauna (Ophiogomphus cecilia - dragonfly, Pelobates fuscus - garlic frog, Burchinus oedicnemus - turkey, Asio flammeus - barn owl and Spermoill).
