Abstract
This Regulation, in order to prevent the introduction, occurrence, detection, spread and in order to offer control and eradication of the infectious animal disease called African swine fever (Pestis suum Africana), here sets several health, sanitary, inspection and epizootiological surveillance measures (also for the purpose of related domestic and international trade, for animal production and reproduction) for domestic and feral pigs, including issues regarding the epizootiological research, as well as monitoring pigs on infected farms and/or on hunting grounds located on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
The import and transit of consignments originating from countries or areas (regions) affected by African swine fever shall be prohibited as follows: 1) for live domestic and wild pigs; 2) for seeds, embryos and fertilized ova originating from domestic and wild pigs; 3) for meat originating from domestic and wild pigs; 4) for meat products originating from domestic and feral pigs, except for treated meat as listed (see details in item 4 of article 1); 5) for skins of domestic and wild pigs, other than tanned pigs; 6) for by-products of animal origin and obtained by-products originating from domestic and wild pigs, except for obtained products that have been thermally treated at a minimum temperature of +80 ° C (a temperature which must be achieved in all parts of by-products during such processing).
