Regulation on types of waste for which thermal treatment is performed, conditions and criteria for determining the location, technical and technological conditions for the design, construction, equipment and operation of plants for thermal treatment of waste, and treatment with residues after the incineration.

This Regulation determines the types of waste for which the thermal treatment is performed, including the conditions, criteria and details as regards the for location, technical and technological conditions for the design, construction, equipment and operation of thermal treatment plants or facilities dealing with such waste, and further sets other issues of importance for the operation of such thermal treatment plants and for the treatment of residues obtained during the incineration procedure.
The major aim of this Regulation is to ensure and provide the conditions for prevention or limitation of negative impacts on the environment, especially air pollution, land, surface and groundwater pollution, as well as possible risks to people's health, all in relation or deriving from thermal treatment of waste. Hazardous types of waste are also object of this text.
