Decree No. 1482 of the Government of the Russian Federation validating the Regulation on accounting for netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources and maintaining a register of netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources and the Rules for mandatory single-piece marking of netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources.

This Decree establishes the procedure on accounting for netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources and maintaining a register of netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources and the Rules for mandatory single-piece marking of netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources. All netting tools used for recreational fishing in the regions of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation within the boundaries of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation specified in the regulation on the peculiarities of the circulation and use of gill nets in the regions of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation, as well as in the adjacent to the borders of the said constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the internal sea waters of the Russian Federation and the territorial sea of the Russian Federation shall be subject to mandatory accounting and registration. Accounting for netting tools is carried out by the territorial bodies of the Federal Agency for Fisheries by entering information about netting tools in the register. Owners of netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources shall submit written application to the territorial body of the Federal Fisheries Agency. Mandatory single-piece marking of netting tools for fishing (catch) of aquatic biological resources is carried out by owners of netting tools after accounting thereof. In order to perform the mandatory single-piece marking of netting tools, owners of netting tools autonomously make or purchase markings.
