Federal Law No. 188-FZ amending Federal Law No. 187-FZ on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation and Federal Law No. 191-FZ "On Exclusive Economic Zone".

Federal Law No. 187-FZ on the continental shelf of the Russian Federation shall be supplemented with Article 13.1 regarding fisheries in the continental shelf: «Fisheries in the continental shelf shall be carried out by the Russian natural and legal persons from the fishing vessels flying the Russian flag and by the foreign natural and legal persons in accordance with the international fisheries agreements concluded by the Russian Federation in conformity with Federal Law No. 166-FZ on fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources and the present Federal Law». The first part of the Article 14 shall acquire a new wording: “Management of biological diversity of the continental shelf shall be carried out within the limits of quotas, species, fishing seasons and fishing areas specified in the fishing authorization”. Federal Law No. 191-FZ "On Exclusive Economic Zone shall be supplemented with Article 11.1 regarding fisheries in the continental shelf : «Fisheries in the continental shelf shall be carried out by the Russian natural and legal persons from the fishing vessels flying the Russian flag and by the foreign natural and legal persons in accordance with the international fisheries agreements concluded by the Russian Federation in conformity with Federal Law No. 166-FZ on fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources and the present Federal Law». The title of Chapter IV of the same Federal Law shall acquire a new wording: «Exploration of aquatic biological diversity and marine scientific research».
