Federal Law No. 67-FZ amending Article 16 of the Federal Law No.3-FZ of 1996 on radiation safety of the population and the Federal Law No. 109 - FZ of 1997 "On safe handling of pesticides and agricultural chemicals".

Article 16 of the Federal Law No.3-FZ of 1996 on radiation safety of the population shall be amended to add the following wording: “Agricultural commodities, alimentary raw materials, foodstuffs, potable water and materials in contact with them in the process of production (manufacturing), storage, transportation and sale of materials and products must meet mandatory requirements for ensuring radiation safety, established the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union, and in case of their absence - by the legislation of the Russian Federation, and are subject to industrial safety”. Federal Law No. 109 - FZ of 1997 On safe handling of pesticides and agricultural chemicals shall be amended to add the wording that certificate of state registration of pesticides and (or) agrochemicals ceases to apply if the pesticide or agrochemical is excluded from the State Register of Pesticides and Agrochemicals authorized for use in the territory of the Russian Federation. In the event of a change in the scope and (or) rules for the use of pesticides or agrochemicals, an addition to the certificate of State registration of pesticides and (or) agrochemicals shall be added to the certificate of State registration of pesticides and (or) agrochemicals, subject to the relevant findings of the competent federal executive authorities on the safe handling of pesticides and agrochemicals. The form of supplement to the certificate of State registration of pesticides and (or) agrochemicals is established by the federal executive body, which is responsible for the formulation of public policies and regulations and the provision of public services in the agro-industry sector.
