Instructions No. 13-9-14/131 of the Veterinary Department attached to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food regarding raising of personal responsibility of provincial, regional and territorial chief veterinary inspectors as regards the observance of the regulations on manufacturing and trade of veterinary preparations.

Head of the Veterinary Department – Chief State Veterinary Inspector of the Russian Federation informs of numerous cases of uncontrolled manufacturing and use of veterinary preparations (drugs). Many chief state veterinary inspectors of administrative territories don’t have at their disposal data regarding the number of workshops, enterprises, laboratories manufacturing preparations and drugs for cattle breeding and veterinary, haven’t organized technological control over quality standards of the above-mentioned commodities and attestation of works. The preparations and drugs didn’t pass official registration and certification. These factors can cause mass disease of cattle and birds, especially in spring-summer period. Head of the Veterinary Department-Chief State Veterinary Inspector of the Russian Federation informs that trading organizations vending preparations are prohibited to purchase and sell non registered and non-certified preparations and preparations not supplied with attestation of works.
