Ministerial Decree No. 1594 regarding authorized environmental institutions of the Russian Federation.

The Government decrees to establish that State Committee on Environmental Protection and its territorial branches are authorized state institutions of the Russian Federation in the sphere of environmental protection and within the sphere of their competence are entitled to coordinate the activity of authorized institutions in the sphere of environmental protection and their territorial branches that carry out their functions in the following spheres of competence: the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Federal Fisheries Committee, Federal Geodetic and Cartographic Service, Federal Service of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, as well as other federal executive bodies and their territorial branches that are entitled in accordance with the Russian legislation to decision-making in the field of environmental protection in concordance or jointly with authorized state bodies in the sphere of environmental protection.
