Abstract
President of the State Committee of Environmental Protection, for the purpose of implementation of the Ministerial Decree No.1594 of 1998 regarding authorized environmental institutions of the Russian Federation, orders to validate the Regulation. Coordination council of especially authorized state institutions of the Russian Federation in the sphere of environmental protection is a collective advisory body dealing with the issues of inter-action of the State Committee of Environmental Protection, within the sphere of its competence, with other federal executive bodies. The main task of the Coordination council is to co-ordinate activity of authorized state institutions in the field of environmental protection. The main functions of the Coordination council regard: 1. examination of the issues of inter-action of especially authorized state institutions in the field of environmental protection and decision-making aimed at the improvement of the efficiency of such inter-action; 2. elaboration and forwarding to the Government of the Russian Federation of the proposals regarding formation and implementation of common state policy in the field of environmental protection and ensuring ecological safety; 3. co-ordination of activity creation and development of common information system on the state of environment.
