Abstract
This Ministerial Decree stipulates that Federal Hydrometeorological and Environmental Monitoring Service shall be the authorized state institution for hydrometeorology and related areas, environmental monitoring, environmental pollution and meteorological impact assessment. The Service shall: (a) supervise and license activities in its sphere of competence; (b) register surface water and keep a register of surface water bodies; (c) keep a database on environmental pollution; (d) monitor the state of the atmosphere; and (e) promptly release information on environmental disasters.
