Ministerial Decree No. 407 on state forest inventory.

This Ministerial Decree stipulates that the Federal Forest Agency shall be the state institution responsible for carrying out forest inventory consisting of a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the state of forest stock and other forest areas. The Agency shall be authorized to request information from regional authorities, local self-government officials, and legal and natural persons regarding forest management and forest development planning. State forest inventories shall be carried out aerially and from the ground. Aerial methods shall be used to forecast and identify negative impacts on forests in areas of intensive management. Ground methods shall be used to assess the efficacy of forest protection, conservation and reproduction measures.
