Ministerial Decree No. 524 validating the Regulation on licensing the collection, use, recycling, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities by which the Federal Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision Service shall license activities related to the collection, use, recycling, transportation and disposal of waste. Applicants must submit the following documentation to the licensing authority: (a) application; (b) the list of hazardous waste the applicant intends to deal with; (c) copy of the positive conclusion of the state environmental audit; (d) copy of the authorization to handle hazardous substances; (e) copy of the attestation of the availability of production facilities; and (f) copy of the sanitary and epidemiological authorization. Each licence shall be valid for a period of five years, and may be extended in accordance with established procedures.
