Ministerial Decree No. 531 validating Regulation on estimate of and validation of total allowable catch and its modification.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of estimate and validation of total allowable catch in specific areas. Total allowable catch shall be calculated in tonnes, including algae (calculated as wet weight) and in pieces (for marine mammals). Total allowable catch shall be validated by the Federal Fisheries Committee, including: (a) total allowable catch in the inland waters of the Russian Federation except for internal sea within regional boundaries; and (b) total allowable catch in internal sea, territorial sea, on the continental shelf, in the EEZ of the Russian Federation, and also in the Sea of Azov and in the Caspian sea.
