Ministerial Decree No. 801 validating the Regulation on state supervision over the use and protection of water bodies.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of state supervision over the management and use of water bodies. Such supervision shall be carried out by the Federal Nature Management Supervision Service and regional executive bodies for the following purposes: (a) compliance with water use and protection requirements; (b) land management in water conservation zones; and (c) enforcement of water legislation. In exercising their duties, state inspectors shall have the right to: (a) inspect objects of supervision; (b) check compliance with water protection requirements; (c) draw up reports; (d) order that any defect be cured; and (e) provide parties to water use contracts with written notice of any ascertained irregularities in their use of water bodies.
