Ministerial Decree No.1280 of 1999 regarding validation of the Regulation on licensing of production and trade of the seeds of agricultural plants.

The Government decrees to validate the Regulation. This Regulation determines the rules of licensing of production of best specimens of agricultural plants and reproduction seeds of agricultural plants destined for trade, as well as wholesale trade of the aforesaid seeds carried out by physical persons (individual business undertakers) and juridical persons. Licence to physical and juridical persons is issued for the following types of activity: a). For the production of best specimens of agricultural plants. b). For the production of reproduction seeds of agricultural plants destined for trade. c). For wholesale trade of the seeds of agricultural plants. Licences for the production of best specimens of agricultural plants and for the production of reproduction seeds of agricultural plants authorize their production, processing, storage, transportation, package, trade and other forms of transactions. Licences for wholesale trade of the seeds of agricultural plants authorize their processing, storage, transportation, packaging, trade and other forms of transactions. Exclusively the physical or juridical person holder of the licence can carry out the licensed activity.
