Order No. 198 of the Ministry of Natural Resources regarding validation of the Methodical directions on designing of water conservation zones of water basins and adjacent protective zones.

The purpose of these Methodical directions is to provide for common methodical approach to designing of water conservation zones and realization of complex irrigation, agrotechnical and environment protection measures on their territory. The Methodical directions are destined for the organizations engaged in designing of water conservation zones of water basins and adjacent protective zones and for territorial branches of the Ministry of Natural Resources. Setting up of water conservation zones of water basins and adjacent protective zones, realization of inexpensive environment protection and introduction on the territory of water conservation zones and adjacent protective zones of the special regime of economic activity and other types of activity is one of the priorities for the protection and reproduction of surface water basins, improvement of their hydrological regime and sanitary conditions. The Regulation consists of 5 Sections and contains 4 Annexes. Section 1 establishes composition of initial data as regards water basins. Section 2 concerns materials regarding inspection of the territory adjacent to water basin. Section 3 deals with designing methodology. Section 4 regards recommendations on co-ordination and validation of designs of water conservation zones and their adjacent protective zones. Section 5 concerns organization of control over setting up of water conservation zones and adjacent protective zones.
