Order No. 459 of the Federal Committee on Environmental Protection regarding the system of compulsory ecological certification.

The President of the Committee orders to set up the Chief Managing Council of the System. The purpose of putting into effect of the System is: (a) the realisation of the compulsory ecological requirements in the process of economic activity; (b) the introduction of ecologically safe production and technological processes and equipment; (c) the strict observance of the ecological requirements and the prevention of environmental pollution in the field of waste disposal; (d) the prevention of import of the ecologically perilous waste, produce, technology and service; and (e) the institution of the status of the ecological certificate and ecological compliance symbol as the guarantee of ecological requirements certified by the Committee.
