Presidential Decree No. 1155 regarding protected areas.

The President decrees that the conservation and development of protected areas is one of the priority issues of the state ecological policy. The Government must define more exactly the Project of the national network of natural reserves and national parks in which the protected areas must constitute up to 3% of the whole territory. The Decree entitles the utilisation of special ecological funds for the planning and prospecting activity aimed at the creation of natural reserves and national parks.
