Regional Law No. 226-OZ “On state support of producers of organic foodstuffs”.

This Regional Law has as its scope setting up favorable conditions for the promotion of organic agricultural production, including small farms, improvement of ecological agricultural production and quality and safety of foodstuffs. Regional state policy in the aforesaid sphere shall be aimed at: (a) consumer protection; (b) setting up conditions for the development of organic production; (c) market saturation with organic production; and (d) conservation of healthy environment. Regional register of the producers of organic foodstuffs shall set up with a view of insertion and dissemination of data and information related to certified and authorized producers of organic foodstuffs. Producers of organic foodstuffs inserted in the Register shall be attributed the status of “producer of organic foodstuffs”.
