Regional Law No. 80-OZ “On regulation of some relations in the field of manufacturing of organic production.”

This Regional Law regulates some relations in the field of manufacturing of organic production, with a view of creating favorable conditions for the development of organic production, including small forms of farming, conservation of natural resources, increase of ecofriendly products, and quality and safety of foodstuffs. It shall not be applicable to medicinal plants, forest seeds, wildlife products and fishing (except for aquaculture). This Regional Law establishes the powers of the regional state authorities in the aforesaid field, and also determines the directions of state support for agricultural producers in the development of organic production. Manufacturers of organic producers shall be intended legal and physical persons who carry out production, storage, labelling, transportation and trade of organic products and are included in unified state register of organic producers. State support for organic production shall be provided within the funds of the regional state budget stipulated by the regional law on the regional budget for the relevant fiscal year and planning period.
