Abstract
This Regional Law regulates certain legal relations arising in connection with the implementation of activities in the field of beekeeping in the regional territory. The scope of this Regional Law is to ensure the manufacturing of beekeeping products and the conservation of bees. This Regional Law is aimed at solving the following tasks: (a) increasing the competitiveness of agricultural producers engaged in the production of beekeeping products and (or) their primary and subsequent (industrial) processing; (b) ensuring the quality and safety of beekeeping products; (c) increasing agricultural productivity; (d) ensuring the conservation of bees; and (e) preservation of the gene pool of bees. Natural persons and legal entities place apiaries in accordance with the requirements established by federal legislation. Bee registration is carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. A veterinary and sanitary passport is issued for each apiary. The procedure for obtaining and maintaining a veterinary and sanitary passport for an apiary is established by the Government of the Tyumen Region. The conservation of bees is ensured through: (a) preventing bees from being poisoned by pesticides and agrochemicals; (b) prevention and elimination of bee diseases; and (c) preservation of pedigree breeding beekeeping products.
