Regional Law No. 33-oz “On regulation of some relations in the field of ensuring radiation safety.”

This Regional Law regulates legal issues of ensuring radiation safety of the regional population. Regional Government shall exercise the following powers: (a) adoption of regional legal acts; (b) validation of regional state programs; (c) appointment of the authorized state regional body in the field of ensuring radiation safety; (d) organization of control over radiation situation on the regional territory; (e) participation in the organization and conduct of operational activities in case of risks of radiation accident on the territory regional territory; (f) participation in realization of measures on liquidation of consequences of radiation accidents on the regional territory; (g) ensuring conditions for implementation and protection of citizens' rights and observing the interests of the state in the field of radiation safety; and (h) exercising other powers provided by the federal and regional legislation.
