Regional Law No. 80-OZ “On hunting and conservation of hunting resources”.

This Regional Law ensures protection and conservation of wild fauna species subject to hunting. Governor shall have the following competence in the aforesaid sphere: (a) validation of the authorized types of hunting; (b) setting hunting quotas; and (c) protection of hunting grounds. Authorized state regional institution in the sphere of hunting and conservation of hunting resources shall have the following competence: (a) protection of hunting resources and natural habitats thereof; (b) registration and monitoring of hunting resources; (c) regulation of the number of hunting resources; (d) conclusion of hunting contracts and agreements; (e) establishment of maximum hunting quotas and capability of hunting grounds; (f) issuance of authorization for captive breeding; (g) supervision over the use of hunting gear and hunting methods; and (h) issuance of hunting cards.
