Regional Law No. 94 “On apiculture”.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of beekeeping, reproduction and management of bees for obtaining of apiculture products, protection of rights and interests of natural and legal persons performing apiculture. State protection of apiculture shall include the following arrangements: (a) access to information on regional state policy in the field of apiculture; (b) extension services; (c) involvement of apiarians in voluntary labelling of apiculture products with quality certification label “Trans-Ural quality”; and (d) other activities established by regional legislative acts. The development of apiculture shall be ensured by: (a) arrangements for the prevention of bee diseases and cure thereof; (b) access to complete and reliable information released by state bodies related to the state of environment and risks for bees; (c) activity of apiculture associations; (d) compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements for beekeeping; (e) compliance with requirements for location of beehives and transport of bees for honey harvest; and (f) registration of subsidiary smallholders performing apiculture.
