Abstract
This Law is aimed at ensuring scientifically grounded management of fishing and fish-farming activity at the regional level, establishment of legal basis for reproduction, rational use and protection of aquatic biodiversity and its natural habitat, maintenance of diversity of aquatic resources and ensuring stable total allowable catch of aquatic biodiversity at the regional level. The document consists of VII Chapters that contain 19 Articles. Chapter I (arts. 1-3) lays down general provisions. Chapter II (Arts.4-9) regards subjects of fishing and fish-farming activity at the regional level. Chapter III (arts.10-11) establishes the modalities of the use of aquatic biodiversity. Chapter IV (Arts.12-13) deals with fisheries. Chapter V (Arts.14-17) deals with fish-farming. Chapter VI (art. 18) regards the use of aquatic biodiversity for research purposes. Chapter VII (Art.19) regards entry into force of the present Law.
