Regulations governing licensing to manufacture, to store, to operate as wholesale and retail seller of processed foods and related products.

The purpose of these Regulations is to provide for a detailed framework for the effective and efficient licensing of the manufacture, storage, wholesale and retail of processed foods and related products.
The Regulations provides for the obligation to obtain an authorization from the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority to exercise the above mentioned activities. They also set prohibitions related to those activities.
Among other things there are provisions regarding the premises for food product manufacturing, the good distribution, manufacturing and storage practices.
The Regulations also regulates the refusal as well as the validity of an authorization. The text is terminated by provisions on administrative sanctions and final provisions.
