Abstract
This Resolution, consisting of 13 articles, aims to establish and regulate the National Center for Water Efficiency and Conservation, which aims to contribute to raising the efficiency and rationalization of water, and to unify the efforts of governmental and non-governmental agencies in this field. The Center’s main responsibilities focus on (i) promoting water efficiency and conservation across various sectors; (ii) developing national programs and strategies, setting indicators and objectives, and monitoring their implementation and impact in coordination with relevant authorities; (iii) proposing and issuing technical regulations and standards, including specifications for equipment and devices that promote water conservation; (iv) licensing and qualifying service providers, establishing mechanisms for graywater reuse, and managing water efficiency labeling programs; (v) monitoring compliance with conservation standards, collecting and managing data on water use, and preparing periodic reports on water production and consumption; (vi) supporting research, investment, training, and public awareness initiatives related to water conservation. The Council is the supreme authority in managing the Centre’s affairs and conducting its business, and takes all decisions necessary to achieve its objectives.
