Abstract
This Act provides for measures to prevent the spreading of noxious weeds and plant pests and diseases and for the control of plants and livestock.
The Minister may, by Notice, declare any plant to be a noxious weed. No person shall plant, propagate or transport any noxious weed and presence of noxious weed on land shall constitute an offence under this Act by the occupier of the land. Inspectors appointed under this Act may inspect agriculture and livestock. The Act defines regulation-making powers of the Minister and prescribes offences.
