Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Shipping Act 1998, which makes provision for the registration of foreign ships, including fishing vessels, and related matters. They apply to all vessels required to be registered under Parts II and III of the Act.
The Regulations provide for, among other things: application for registration; the registration process and particulars of registration; names, marking and ownership of vessels; registration of mortgages and liens; fees; approved classification societies.
