Abstract
These Regulations make minor amendments in the Shipping (Non-Convention Vessel Safety) Regulations 2006, Shipping (Pilotage Certification) Regulations 2010, Maritime Safety Administration (Research Vessels) Regulations 2010, Shipping (Marine Navigation Aids) Regulations 2010, Shipping (Registration) Regulations 2010, Shipping (STCW Convention) Regulations 2010, Shipping (Dangerous goods and IMDG Code) Regulations 2011, Shipping (Marine Pollution) Regulations 2011, Maritime Safety Administration (Ship and Port Security) Regulations 2011, and the Shipping (Marine Inquiries and Investigations) Regulations 2011.
The definition of "Administration" has been amended to the Solomon Islands Maritime Authority established by section 6 of the Solomon Islands Maritime Authority Act 2018. The definition of "Director" has been amended to the Director of the Solomon Islands Maritime Authority appointed under section 22 of the Solomon Islands Maritime Authority Act 2018. The word “Minister” has been substituted to “Director”, wherever it appears.
