Wildlife Protection and Management Regulations 2008 (L.N. No. 78 of 2008).

These Regulations, made under section 35 of the Wildlife Protection and Management Act 1998, implement provisions of the Act with respect to: approval of a management programme; declaration of an approved management programme by the Minister; registration of an approved management programme as an an approved captive breeding programme in accordance with the CITES; granting of approval to take or hold the species or specimen in Schedule 1 (import or export specimen); application for the international trade in such specimen. The Regulations also prescribe forms and fees. The Regulations also amend Schedule II to the Act by adding under the title Schedule to the "MAMMALS" the following: "dolphin as an aquatic mammal"
