Abstract
These Regulations provide for the establishment of the Marine Parks Authority as a body corporate and defines its functions and duties and internal organization. The Authority is vested with the powers and duties of the Seychelles Environment Commission for purposes of carrying out the functions of the Commission under the National Parks and Nature Conservancy Act. The Authority shall be responsible for the management and protection of marine parks and other specified areas. The Authority shall pay fees into the Environment Trust Fund. The Authority shall be managed by a Board and a Managing Director.
