Environment Protection (Restriction on importation, distribution and sale of Plastic Utensils and Polystyrene Boxes) Regulations 2017 (S.I. No. 38 of 2017).

These Regulations, made under the Environment Protection, 2016 by the Minister responsible for Environment, Energy and Climate Change, prohibit the manufacturing, importation, distribution and sale of plastic utensils and Polystyrene boxes for use within the Republic of Seychelles but allows import permits to be issued for the importation of- (a) Biodegradable utensils; or (b) Biodegradable boxes. Import shall be validated by a certificate of conformity. (International) standards for conformity are set out in the Schedule.
