Abstract
These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 read with Section 4 (2) (e), (q), (w). (x) and (hh) of the Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority Act, 2019. These regulations apply to a person required to obtain a licence from the Authority, pertaining to a maritime commercial activity conducted within the regulated area. The list of maritime licences issued by the Authority are provided in schedule I of the Regulations. Part II lays down the procedure for application for a licence, conditions of a licence granted, general requirements for obtaining a licence and the validity of a licence. It provides for the appointment of inspectors for inspections to be conducted by the Authority. Part III contains the offences and the penalties for such offences.
