Tourism Development (Standards) Regulations, Statutory Instrument no. 84 of 2023.

These Regulations, made under provisions of section 18 read with sections 6, 8 and 10 of the Tourism Development Act, 2019, provide for minimum requirements for the activities specified in paragraphs and in the attached schedules, concerning water sports, restaurants and dive centres. The Regulations also concern; issuance of licences; classification system; fees; contraventions of Regulations; compliance measures. The attached schedules particularly set standards and requirements in the following matters: environmental matters and waste management in building of hotels; water supply and water storage; food and beverages standards and hygiene measures in the kitchens and in fish and meat cleaning areas; pest control measures.
